Web Service Data Sources Indigo DQM Help

Indigo DQM Data Management Engine Web Service Data Sources can be used by all Data Command Queries and Data Execution Plans in the System.

If the Web Service Data Source is common to multiple Data Queries then create a shared Web Service Data Source.

Select the Data Source Tab from the Indigo DQM Data Management Studio.

Indigo DQM supports Web Service Data in the form of XML (Extensible Markup Language ) and JSon (Java Script object notation).

Data Folders

Create a Data Folder for the Data Source to organise it in the Data Store.

Creating a new Web Service Data Source

A Data Source can be a Connection String to a specific XML or JSon Web Service Data Source.

Select the Location Radio Buttons to Select the Data Store Source in this example the Location of the Data Source is specified in a Data Connection String.

Enter a Name and Description for the Data Source and Select a Data Folder.

Select Web Service XML as the Data Source Type from the dropdown list and enter the Location parameters for the Web Service Data Source.

To Show the Data Connection String Properties Click the Properties button at the bottom of the Connection Dialog. This will display the Advanced Properties for the Connection String.

Connection Strings can be Saved or Opened into the Data Connection Dialog.

Click OK to Save the Data Source.

Selecting a Web Service JSon Data Source

Select Web Service JSon as the Data Source Type from the dropdown list and enter the Location parameters for the Web Service Data Source.

Click OK to Save the Data Source.
