The XQuery Designer allows complex XQueries and XPath statements to be executed against the Report Data Source.

Predefined XQuery Functions can be inserted into the XQuery using the Function Tool.

Select the Insert Function menu and a list of available XQuery Functions will be displayed in a tree-view categorised by functionality.

Select the category and function to insert into the XQuery and click OK or Insert.

XQuery contains a superset of XPath expression syntax to address specific parts of an XML document.

The language is based on the XQuery and XPath Data Model (XDM) which uses a tree-structured model of the information content of an XML document.
